Wheelbarrow production

2026 08/23

A wheelbarrow production line is an automated or semi-automated industrial manufacturing setup designed to fabricate, finish, and assemble wheelbarrow components in high volume. The line processes raw sheet metal, steel tubing, and other small components into finished wheelbarrows through several distinct operational stages.

Weifang Yida Mould Co., Ltd is a factory direct supplier for specializing in wheelbarrow mould in metal and plastic bucket material.

Production Line

  • Tray (Bucket) Fabrication:

    • Deep Drawing: A hydraulic press uses heavy dies to stamp flat sheet metal into the initial 3D tub shape.

    • Trimming & Flanging: Excess metal is trimmed around the perimeter, and a flanging or spinning machine curls the edges to eliminate sharp rims and increase structural rigidity.

    • Punching: Presses stamp mounting holes for bolts and frame attachment.

  • Frame Fabrication:

    • Pipe Cutting & Bending: Steel pipes are cut to size and formed into handles, chassis legs, and front supports using CNC or hydraulic tube benders.

    • Flattening & Drilling: Pipe ends are flattened, pierced, or notched where they connect to the tray, axle, or crossbracing.

  • Welding & Sub-assembly:

    • Frame components, leg braces, and axle brackets are joined together using manual or robotic welding setups.

  • Surface Treatment & Finishing:

    • Metal parts pass through automated washing and degreasing stations.

    • The frame and tray undergo powder coating or dip-painting, followed by high-temperature curing ovens for rust resistance and durability.

  • Final Assembly & Packaging:

    • Components (tray, tubular frame, axle, rubber wheels, handles, and hardware) are assembled into finished units or bulk-packed as knock-down kits for efficient shipping.
